What is the Long Island Student Physical Therapy Conference?
The Long Island Student Physical Therapy Conference is an amazing opportunity for students from physical therapy and physical therapy assistant programs to meet, network, and learn. There will be multiple mini-lectures given by speakers from different specialties including current students conducting important research to furhter the field of PT. These lectures will touch on all aspects of PT.
Mission
Through an intercollegiate environment of future fellow colleagues within the state of New York, we seek to inspire, educate and assist in the transition from student to health professional with the hope of creating the most beneficial patient care.
Objectives

To provide students, faculty members, and practicing PT’s a chance to advocate current research, areas of expertise, and clinically relevant experience to assist with promoting student’s professional development

To open dialogue between students, faculty members, and practicing PT’s to increase the ability of sharing resources among PT and PTA programs

To allow students and professionals the opportunity to learn clinically relevant information that can assist with patient care

Date and Location
The Long Island Student Physical Therapy Conference will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015. The Conclave will take place in Riland Center: Academic Health Center and The 500 Building. The Conference begins at 8:30am and concludes at 4:30pm.
